Road to Stress Release Tip #2

Breathing deeply through your diaphragm oxygenates your blood, which will help you instantly relax. Shallow chest breathing, in contrast, can cause your heart to beat faster and your muscles to tense up, exacerbating feelings of stress. To breathe deeply, begin by putting your hand on your abdomen just above the navel. Inhale slowly through your nose and watch your hand move out as your belly expands. Hold the breath for a couple of seconds, then exhale slowly. Repeat several times. Day to day living exposes you to various tensions and stresses. One of the issues is the quality of breathing. When you're engaged completely in your work, you forget to take deep breaths. This is also true when life is full of tensions. Deep breathing gives you an ample amount of oxygen. Deep breathing takes towards a better mental and physical health. It will help you in managing your stress levels.
