Road to Stress Release Tip #4: The Jaw Release

Stress has a tendency to settle in certain parts of our bodies, the jaw being one of them. When things get hectic, Place your index fingertips on your jaw joints, just in front of your ears; clench your teeth and inhale deeply. Hold the breath for a moment, and as you exhale then unclench your teeth. Repeat a few times. Never grit your teeth. There's a lot of tension in your jaw muscles. You can alleviate this by using your fingertips and making tiny little circles right into the center of your jaw muscles. Open and close your mouth slowly simultaneously to help increase the effect to release tension. This releases your tension and stress immediately. You could practice it anywhere and anytime.
